Domain Settings

This guide will help you configure a custom domain in the Eazysites platform to ensure a seamless transition to your unique web address.

Connecting a custom domain to your site enhances your brand’s credibility and makes it easier for your audience to find you. This guide will help you configure a custom domain in the Eazysites platform to ensure a seamless transition to your unique web address.

Domain Settings

In the Domain Settings section, you have two options:

  • System Domain: This is your default subdomain provided by Eazysites (e.g., yourname.xaashq.com). You can update this subdomain if needed.

  • Custom Domain: You can link a custom domain (e.g., yourwebsite.com) to replace the system domain, providing a more professional and branded experience for your users.

Setting Up a Custom Domain

To set up a custom domain, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Domain Settings

From your dashboard, go to Settings > Domain to access the domain configuration options.

2. Add your Custom Domain URL

Under the Custom Domain section, you will see a field to add your custom domain name.

3. Copy DNS Records

Use the Copy button next to the A Record and CNAME fields to copy these values. These records need to be added to your DNS provider’s site (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare).

4. Add DNS Records at Your Domain Provider

Log in to your domain provider’s site and locate the DNS settings for your domain.

  • Add an A Record: Paste the copied IP address into the A record field.

  • Add a CNAME Record: Paste the copied value into the CNAME field.

5. Save and Verify

  • Once the records are added, save your changes on the domain provider’s site.

  • It may take up to 24-48 hours for the DNS changes to propagate, though it usually happens much sooner.

6. Verify Connection

Return to the Domain Settings page in your dashboard. We will programmatically check for the records and send you an email once the connection is successfully established. You may also see a verification option or a status update in your dashboard.

Important Notes

  • Propagation Time: DNS changes can take time to propagate. During this period, you might see intermittent connectivity issues until the domain is fully configured.

  • SSL Configuration: Your platform may automatically configure SSL for your custom domain to ensure a secure connection. Check with your support team if this is enabled.

  • Updating Records: If you change your domain or domain provider, be sure to update the DNS records accordingly.

By following these steps, you can successfully set up a custom domain for your Eazysites website, enhancing your online presence and brand identity. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team!
